perfect union cannibas dispensary wants to donate $25k to marysville schools

A cannabis dispensary in Marysville wants to help the Marysville Joint Unified School District with a $25,000 donation, however, the school district may not be able to take the money, as it could jeopardize federal funding.

Perfect Union CEO David Spradlin tells The Appeal-Democrat he wants to revenue to support distance learning efforts in Marysville. But Superintendent Gary Cena reports the school district is ‘just now learning’ about it, but that “any offered donation would be placed upon the board agenda for consideration.”

Perfect Union is reportedly 20% over projections and will make about $10-million-dollars by the end of this year, with 5% of that revenue going directly to Marysville as part of a cannabis tax.
