Area Girls Tennis: Pierz tops St. John’s Prep in first round of sections

PIERZ — Maddie Andrea won at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-0 for the No. 1 seed Pierz Pioneers in their 7-0 win over the No. 8 seed St. John’s Prep Johnnies Monday, Oct. 5, in the Section 6-1A quarterfinals.

Megan Girtz and Alex Thielen both won their matches 6-0, 6-0 as well.

The No. 1 doubles team of Maddie Gull-Marybeth Tautges won 6-2, 6-2.
